Health data privacy
Updated September 11, 2026
a’s cage is Evan’s personal health and fitness tracking app. Health importing starts only after Andrea selects the data types and history window in the app and responds to Apple Health’s permission requests. The app only reads Apple Health; it does not change the originals.
What is imported
Selected, permitted measurements and records can include dates, values, category codes, source and device information, metadata, workouts and their details, precise workout routes, clinical FHIR records, CDA documents, ECG waveforms, heartbeat and quantity time series, reproductive health, symptoms, assessments, medication data, vision prescriptions, and their attachments. Profile values and the medication list are current snapshots, not a complete history of previous versions. Types that the phone or Apple Health cannot provide are not imported.
Where it is stored and who can access it
Imports are sent to the app’s server and database, operated by Evan. Only Evan’s viewer account can see imported health records, and only while Andrea enables “Share these categories with Evan.” Andrea’s account shows collection, sharing, stop, and deletion controls, not imported measurements, record contents, or downloads. Originals remain available through Apple Health. Server and hosting administrators may have technical access to stored data. This is not end-to-end encrypted storage that hides data from the server operator.
Health data is separate from ordinary tracker exports and Google Drive backups. It is not sent to advertising, analytics, or data broker services by this integration. The phone stores protected sync settings and checkpoints and a device-only upload credential. Health measurements are not placed in the web bridge or browser caches. Hosted requests use HTTPS; the development preview runs locally.
Background syncing and control
After connection, selected types can sync when iOS allows background delivery. Other types refresh while the app is open. Access can be limited or withdrawn in Apple Health. Permission changes affect future reads; they do not automatically delete existing imports or disable sharing in this app.
Use “Stop syncing & sharing” in Health to revoke the app’s sync connection and Evan’s viewer access. Existing imports remain stored and hidden from viewer accounts until Andrea deletes them or enables sharing again. Use “Delete imported health history” to stop the connection and erase imported health records and uploaded record parts from the app’s active database. Originals in Apple Health are unaffected. Copies already downloaded cannot be recalled.
Retention and limits
Published imports have no automatic expiration. Partial uploads that have not become published records are eligible for cleanup after seven days and are removed on subsequent uploads. Individual records are limited to 32 MB, with additional safeguards for very long time series and attachments. A type with a record that cannot be imported shows an issue and retains its checkpoint for retry; it is not silently skipped.
Questions or requests
Contact Evan, the app operator, for questions about storage, hosting-provider retention, access, or copies outside the active app database. The stop and deletion controls remain available to Andrea from the Health page in a signed-in browser.
