Starting saves your precise GPS route, including in the background, and your phone’s battery level with each point. Only Evan can view, download, or delete your saved routes. You can pause recording at any time. Pausing does not delete saved history; it stays until Evan deletes it. Frequent GPS recording uses more battery.

Recording access has no automatic expiration, even if your website login expires. Points are recorded roughly every 15 seconds while moving and less often when still. iOS can delay or pause updates. Pausing removes points that haven’t uploaded yet.

While recording, your iPhone asks for Motion & Fitness access to add estimated activity and confidence to new route points for Evan. GPS recording works if you decline. Manage this permission in iPhone Settings; saved labels remain with route history. No activity data is sent to an AI service.

Start recording in the updated iPhone app. You can pause recording here.
